21st Century Vanguardism: New Nationalism and the Metaphysical Worldview of the Nation-State
Today practically all manner of political discourse within mainstream media will show how the anti-nationalist narrative dominates the political arena. Indeed, the complete circumvention around nationalistic concepts relating to ethnic homogeneity and genuine traditionalist principles from so-called conservative politicians, journalists, and media broadcasters is indicative of an utter failure to uphold any authentically conservative values - thus conserving that which is actually worth conserving (beyond free market capitalism), such as a grounded reverence for total spirituality and national kinship.
It is, therefore, in our best interest to engage our narrative with the general populace as much as we possibly can, via any necessary means at our disposal.
Identifying the Problem
Dissident political movements will naturally occur when the political class either willfully neglect the concerns of the populace, or are simply just out of touch with it. If not both. Thus the contemporary narrative concerning the Right-Left paradigm is fundamentally operating on a false binary, which is precisely why we're seeing a rise in dissident-conservative movements throughout the entire Western world to begin with.
Within the current climate of standard political discourse, conservative values are falsely attributed to liberal capitalism, privatisation of public industry, extreme individualism and a seeming complete disregard for ecological concerns. But what is "conservative" about such principles? It conserves nothing besides global financial activity; aiding the technocratic push for a borderless world devoid of any real meaning beyond material gain and corporate consumption, thus facilitating social atomisation to the extent to which cultural nihilism is considered a part of everyday life. Clearly this is not conservatism by any stretch, for genuine conservative values are oriented towards that which ultimately prioritises the collective before the individual; the nation-state and the well-being of its citizens before economic activity and material gain.
The truly conservative economic model transcends both individualistic capitalism and Marxian socialism, leaving no space for globalist financiers if its beneficiaries are not the collective groups of whom said financiers will exploit in order to prop up their illegitimate means of cultural and economic monopolisation. Evidently, this conserves nothing besides these financial actors' interests being served with more monetary excess. The Third-Positionist economic ideal, however - which is predicated upon organic conservative (both naturalistic and metaphysical) principles and values - provides a potentially solid antidote.
Vanguard and the Nation-State
The progression of the nation-state primarily lay with a select - and self-elected - intellectual vanguard. It is this intellectual vanguard which sets the standard of political and social discourse, thus creating the perspective through which the nation’s citizens perceive the world - both in regards to the political and the metaphysical. The concept of the metaphysical, therefore, is malleable to human perception. Hence why striving for an overarching, proactive idealism with regards to the ethos of the nation-state is a far superior tool to our cause than materialism, for obstinately abiding by a rationalist viewpoint of the world merely serves in increasing mass slave morality, as allowing unbridled logic to dictate man’s destiny ultimately weakens his Will to Power - which is to say his will to heroism. Thus, actively engaging in the dissident-conservative metapolitical narrative is cardinal to making real change.
Arguably, the ethical structure of politics is definable by a stark contrast of the subservient nation-state, which abides by a passive, universalist conception of morality, and that which actively extricates itself from such stultifying dogma by transcending anachronistic conceptions of lawful ‘fair play’ for the betterment of the group within the nation-state, should the circumstance call for a state of exception.
It is, therefore, not merely futile but grossly incorrect to strive for a universalist perspective of tolerance and equality, for the very nature of human existence is innately characterised by conquest and the perpetual struggle for power - the will to power. Thus, upon understanding and subsequently accepting that the concept of the metaphysical and political worldview is that which is in direct opposition to vague conceptions of liberalism and universalist utopia, the fundamental nature of the nation-state is, conversely, defined by struggle, strife, and conflict, in addition to that which is distinguished by a simple binary of friend and enemy in the very Schmittian sense of the term.
Our nationality, genetics, native language, education, regional dialect, social relationships and life experiences all influence how, who, and what we are, and therefore inform our understanding of the world. All these aspects of our existential being constitute our very identity; and our existence within this particular part of the planet is neither ‘random’ nor meaningless, for we are the living products of all these things and more. It would simply be an egregious error, then, to suggest that one is universalist in any context. Indeed, further, and what would be glaringly evident to the thinking man and woman, if one were to propound the notion that one has ‘transcended’ the aforementioned existential aspects of being, it would merely illustrate one’s fundamentally liberal education more so. I’m sure such irony isn’t lost here.
The true, life-affirming worldview is to observe a straight-forward metapolitical realism by which we, who form the vital components of the nation-state, conceive our standing in the world as being that which is in harmonious accordance with nature’s laws, thus opting to perceive this standing through not a simplistic, but vitalistic lens. Further, to view life through the lens of physical and metaphysical dualism, whereby matter and soul (i.e., man and the Godhead) are philosophically distinct entities of being is not merely inconducive to our Nationalist worldview but ultimately life-denying, for mind, matter, soul, and spirit are all one, as all of which form equally vital components to our metaphysical and nationalistic worldview. To separate man from divinity, therefore, is to suggest that he is devoid of spirituality in his natural state, which is surely counter-intuitive to the authentic Nationalist life philosophy. A spiritual totality, if you will, is paramount to maintaining an optimal balance of kinship and nation.
Third Position: The Future
The 21st century vanguard would surreptitiously dictate a stark contrast to the postwar narrative of liberalism and individualistic freedom(s), signalling an end to the irrational ideal that is “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”, and other such frivolously abstract, liberal rhetoric. One puts forth the notion that, at this point in time, both the hard Left and hard Right understand liberal individualist sensibilities to be nothing more than mere fallacy, for such is the partisan nature of extreme left-wing Marxism and hard Right nationalism - the latter of which being grounded in reality, thus having the greater political advantage by default - there really isn’t much space for centre-right neutrality within the upcoming societal paradigm shift towards an all-too pervasive, politically-oriented metaphysics. And with such a constant stream of information at our disposal 24/7 on social media, he who subscribes to even the vaguest narrative of neutrality regarding politics, economics, and the nation-state will be deemed socially apathetic and ultimately disengaged from reality. Indeed he would be shunned for his unwillingness to commit to action.
Therefore, in this coming paradigm shift - this new metapolitical Zeitgeist - remaining politically neutral and ‘moderate’ will render one impotent to the point of societal exclusion, for the ubiquity of social media as an effective tool will entail an inescapably political (and politicised) worldview for generations and beyond. At least in terms of standard discourse if nothing else, the 21st century will prove to be the era of the Will to Power in the very Nietzschean sense of the term, which would be characterised by a very clear partisan binary of Nationalism versus Globalism. Thus, from the perspective of the 21st century vanguard, to be an individual is to be ignorant of world affairs, and to be liberal is to be ignorant of reality. The cultural, political, and economic Zeitgeist which awaits us is there for the taking, This is our time.
“The metaphysical image that a particular age makes of the world has the same structure as that which is readily apparent to that age as a form of its political organisation.” - Carl Schmitt, Political Theology.
